One Girl Cookies
Chocolate Whoopie Pies
After tasting these delicious treats, you’ll no longer wonder why they are named whoopie pies! Ok, so they’re not a pie at all, but that shouldn’t stop you from trying out One Girl Cookie’s take on the classic whoopie pie. They’re like a cross between a cake and a cookie. Imagine, if you will, perfect chocolate cake sandwiching luscious cream cheese frosting. I’ve become personally addicted to these Whoopie Pies. They are Brooklyn’s original and kids and grown-ups alike just can’t get enough of them!

One Girl Cookies |
One Girl Cookies was created when Dawn decided to make a career change. Barneys New York was the place she had called her second home for six years. It was the classroom in which she learned the importance of aesthetic, the power of creativity and the joy of indulgence. When she reflected on her career choices she decided to return to that which she really knew… food and humanity’s love of it.
Dawn started taking orders and filling them out of her tiny West Village apartment. She insisted on performing all tasks on her own, from baking to delivery. After her second holiday season necessitated using both her own and a friend’s apartment to bake, wrap and pack over seven hundred pounds of cookies, she quickly decided it was time to give One Girl Cookies some room to grow. Enter her first professional kitchen, and Dave, One Girl Cookies’ baker.
Dave and Dawn first met in her West Village apartment when she was looking for a room mate. They hit it off immediately and quickly discovered their shared passion for food. It turns out they also had another thing in common; she needed a new baker and he was looking a job. Dave realized that he would have to make a choice between Dawn as his room mate, and Dawn as his boss. Well, he needed a job more than he needed a place to sleep, so he agreed to come to One Girl Cookies’ kitchen, and he’s never looked back.
